Multiwall U.V. Protected Polycarbonate Sheets

The characteristic structure of the multiwall sheets with air space inside guarantees good thermal insulation and excellent resistance to crash stress. The external side of Policarbonate is coated with U.V. protection (on request both sides) warranting resistance to aging due to atmospheric agents and UV rays.
Policarbonate is used for roofing, windows, skylights, greenhouses, porches, gazebos, ceilings.

It exists as multiwall sheets from 2 to 7 walls, 4mm to 40mm thicknecess.

Advantages
LIGHT TRANSMISSION

The use of pigments mixed with the polycarbonate allows a different light transmission through the sheet.
The values shown in the table have been calculated in specialised laboratories.

The choice of sheet thickness is based on the requested values of snow/wind loads and on sheet dimensions.
In particular Policarbonate is used to build integral arc structures (green house tunnel type) since its alveolar structure increases the rigidity of the sheet longitudinally bent at its ribs.

SOLAR FACTOR
The solar radiation which reaches the panel surface is reflected, partially absorbed and directly trasmitted inside. The solar factor is the ratio between the total energy transmitted inside (considering all the conductions) and solar radiation.

RESISTANCE TO UV RAYS
The external surface of panels is coextruded with high UV-ray absorbing polycarbonate which gives
the product an excellent resistance to UV rays, hail and accidental crashes, even after long exposure to the sun.

ENERGY SAVING
The structure of Policarbonate multiwall sheets is a good alternative in all situations where thermal insulation is important, since it reduces heat loss.
Heat loss is commonly indicated by the value " K "(transmittance). The installation of a Policarbonate sheet instead of a common single wall glass means a considerable cost saving
